This tale of The Lady in Brown was inspired by the Ghost of Raynham Hall. She was the 1st ghost ever to have sightings recorded of her. She was married young, and had 3 sons. She disappeared and her sons were raised by the help. Dorothy struggled to be worthy of a man that was so sinister, she could have never known what horrors he had in store for her.
