Can we talk about the part nobody really talks about?

The part where following God's will for your creative life actually costs you something. Not in a vague, churchy way, but in a "that opportunity went to someone else and it genuinely stings" kind of way.

Because here's the thing: a lot of us have been building our creative lives on a foundation shaped more by the world than we realized. Hustle culture, self-promotion, being everywhere, doing everything and we absorbed all of it before we even knew to question it. And when God starts showing you a different path? There's grief in that. 

This episode is for the creative in a pivot. The one letting go of a version of their life they really wanted, but soon realized it may not align with what God has written for their journey.

Can I be honest with you all? I got comfortable. Like, "okay, this is fine, this is working, let's just keep it moving," comfortable. And God had to check me on that, because 'okay' is not the same as excellent.This episode is a real one. Okay, so… this one is very much a convicting episode. And before I say anything, no judgment, because I am very much in this with you all. We need to talk about social media.

Not in a "delete everything and go live in the woods" kind of way, but in a real, honest, 'what is excessive scrolling actually doing to us?' kind of way.

The same platforms we're using to create for God's glory can become the very thing keeping us from the work He's called us to. And that's... a problem.

In Ep. 14 of CCC we get into:

→ How idleness, distraction, and comparison all sneak in when we have no real boundaries on our scrolling

→ The lust of the eyes, and how watching someone else do what God told you to do can give a false sense of progress

Believe it or not, art is not “just art.” We have an enemy looking to see who he can deceive, and guess what? A common way he does this is through art and entertainment! We're talking about why starting is way more important than perfecting. Perfectionism often keeps us stuck, but God has already given us everything we need to begin. We’ll explore how Moses, with nothing but a staff in hand, and Bezalel, with his artistic abilities, both started with what God had already placed in them. Whether it’s a simple staff or a gift of craftsmanship, God used what they had to fulfill His purpose. This shows that God is the one who equips us with the skills and talents we need, and He’s ready to do miracles with whatever we bring to the table. Plus, we’ll dive into why taking action is the true “proof of concept” in our creative journey.
