Culture offers us many opinions but we must choose not to imitate.

If we agree with the things that are against the word and the will of God. How can we be of Christ?

It's obvious that we conform to something

Conform.. to conform one's self (i.e. one's mind and character) to another's pattern, (fashion one's self according to)

We copy the pattern of either the Word of the World

Conforming to culture requires imitation

Conforming to Christ offers transformation

Conforming to culture leaves us empty

Conforming to a Christ leaves you empowered

"Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God's will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes."

Conforming to Culture spiritually deforms you. Stunts your growth.

Conforming to Christ spiritually transformed you. Matures your growth.

"Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you."

When we began to fit in we no longer stand out. People should see you as different.

Conforming to culture chokes the Word leaving you unfruitful

Conforming to Christ you understand the Word leaving you fruitful

"Now the one sown among the thorns — this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful."

Conforming to culture means you don't love the Father and you crave the thing of the world.

Conforming to Christ you do what pleases the Father.

"Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever."

Conforming to Christ offers eternal rescue and a renewed spirit.
