In light of the gospel and our daily lives, we often blend what we do with who we are, but this week we're urged to remember our core identity: a dearly loved, blood-bought child of God. As we consider our vocations – be it parent, student, worker, or friend – and how Christ shines through us, we find that God doesn't need our good works, but our neighbor certainly does. Through faithful service and sharing the gospel, we reflect Christ's light, empowered by the grace that has already claimed us as children of the King, equipped to live with joy and confidence.
