Muhammed challenges Wesley's circular reasoning for believing the Bible, pointing out that anyone could claim their scripture is true simply because it says so. He then systematically examines Old Testament prophecies Wesley claims point to Jesus, particularly Isaiah 53 and Isaiah 9. Muhammed argues that Isaiah 53 cannot refer to Jesus because it speaks of someone having offspring (children) and prolonged days, whereas Jesus died at 33 without children and could equally apply to the suffering of Israel. He similarly refutes Isaiah 9, noting Jesus never sat on David's throne, never established everlasting peace, and was never called by the titles mentioned (Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace) anywhere in the New Testament.
