(Sermon Outline) "A Brief Introduction to Christian Worship"
1. Christian worship is physical (you worship in an actual body)
2. Christian worship is sacrificial.
3. Christian worship is logical (it is "reasonable service.")
/ Questions /
1. Is it common / rare / easy / difficult - for you personally to think about your worship of God through Christ as "all of life?" Do you tend to categorize your worship as Sunday morning, personal devotionals, etc. or do you tend to think about worshipping the Lord in all that you say and do throughout the week? What "tasks / duties / responsibilities" throughout the week are difficult for you to see / experience as worship? Why?
2. Which aspect of Christian worship that was described in Romans 12:1 is most difficult for you to live out -- physical worship, sacrificial worship, or logical worship? -- Why?
3. How are you presently doing worshipping the Lord with what you eat and drink? Any challenges here?
4. How are you doing worshipping the Lord through exercise? Which "way" are you most prone to sin (over or under exercise)? Why? How might you grow in this area?
5. How is your worship of God doing through your vocation/work? What challenges do you face worshipping in this sphere of your life? Are you more prone towards over working or under working? Why? How might you grow here?
Hope these questions spur you on towards asking the best questions to lead your group in the most profitable directions.
