The heart of today’s message is simple, but powerful: Christianity is about knowing God. Not just knowing about Him, but really knowing Him. John 17:3 gives us this beautiful definition of eternal life, “That they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” This isn’t about ticking off religious checkboxes or climbing some spiritual ladder.
As we dive deeper into this lesson, we’ll explore how that purpose translates into our everyday lives. Christianity isn’t a competitive sport, it’s not a social club, and it’s definitely not a way to score points by showing how “righteous” we are compared to others. It’s about something much deeper. It’s about working out our own salvation with humility, striving for seamless unity, and living in a way that reflects Christ’s love and truth.
So, as we go through today’s discussion, I want you to think about where you stand in this journey of knowing God. Are you truly seeking Him, or are you caught up in distractions that have nothing to do with what Christ called us to be? This is a heart check for all of us. Let’s explore together.
