Christians Standing Guard Spiritual Battle

The enemy of the Lord and the enemy of the Lord’s people always asks this question; “who is standing Guard!” The prideful boast always seeks to create doubt, “Who is the Lord that I should obey” is what Pharaoh of Egypt said to Moses.” Sennacherib also boasted saying “Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying; The LORD will deliver us.” The Lord had a commitment to Judah and to Israel his people. He had chosen Jerusalem, Zion the city of God as his own. Yet the people fell away.

Unless there is someone standing Guard, the thief enters in. Who is Standing Guard for your family? For your city? For your Nation?

Hezekiah, though represents a King who also had Isaiah as a major prophet at the time. Hezekiah chose to seek the LORD when threatened by Assyria. Assyria had conquered many lands, kings, and foreign gods. Yet, this pagan king and his army were defeated when he came against Israel. For he made a huge mistake, he blasphemed the LORD, ridiculed the people, and pridefully boasted he would take Jerusalem. This is exactly what nations like Iran are saying today against Israel and her people.

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
