Christine Ann Diefenbach was a shy, artistic ninth-grader at Intermediate School 217 in Queens County. She loved drawing and horses. In a time when teenagers were gushing over Tom Cruise, she was fan of Wayne Newton and David Hasselhoff, and would pour over the Sunday newspaper’s ​Parade magazine looking for articles about her idols. She was murdered on February 7th 1988, in Richmond Hill, Queens County, New York. Her case remains unsolved.
