Episode 3: Closing the Gap — Designing the Life You Actually Want
In the last episode, we talked about grieving the life you thought you’d have by now—the dreams, timelines, relationships, careers, and milestones that didn’t unfold quite the way you imagined.
But what happens after the grief?
At some point, we have to ask: What now?
In this episode of Christine On East End, we move from grieving what didn’t happen to getting honest about where we are, where we want to go, and what it will actually take to close the gap.
We’ll talk about taking an honest look at the choices that brought us here, recognizing when our current strategies aren't working, and learning to change the strategy without necessarily changing the goal. Because sometimes the dream isn't wrong—the route we’ve been taking to get there simply isn't working.
We’ll also talk about what it really means to design your life instead of simply drifting into it. What do you actually want your life to look and feel like? What needs to change? What are you willing to do differently? And what does it look like to build a life that feels authentic—not just one that looks good from the outside?
And then there’s self-care.
Not just bubble baths, champagne, face masks, and spa days—although there’s certainly nothing wrong with those things. I’m talking about caring for the whole person: your physical body, your mind, your relationships, your dreams, your peace, and most importantly, your soul.
Because you shouldn’t have to wait until you finally arrive at the life you want to start taking care of yourself.
You deserve to care for yourself while you’re becoming.
This episode is about taking inventory, getting intentional, rerouting when something isn't working, and taking the next step toward a life that feels like you never settled.
You don't necessarily need a new dream. Sometimes, you just need a new strategy.
