God is recognized as being great more than anything because He became a helpless newborn for the sake of lost humanity. Bringing us in from the cold; being a Savior; being the substitute and taking on our sin; living and dying in our place; loving us enough to do that. That is unparalleled greatness. Love beyond all imagination. The fact that He loves us, the broken-hearted, the lost, the undeserving says more about Him than anything I need to know. The fact that He is a shepherd that will leave the ninety-nine and search for the one lost sheep tells me everything that is most important about my Savior.
