John 1:14 / Acts 2:42-47 / Philippians 2:4
While plots of popular Christmas movies run the gamut from inhuman greedy creatures learning about generosity from fellow townspeople, to one of Santa’s elves traveling New York City to find his real father, and everything in between, there’s just something about Christmas movies—even ones that don’t explicitly touch the birth of Christ—that makes us feel good. These movies bring us back to the joy and hope we all long for. In this series, entitled Christmas At The Movies, we will dig into the Word of God using classic Christmas movies as visual representations of biblical principles. The stories, relationships, and tensions that unfold in each movie reflect what we all experience in our own lives and remind us of the hope of this season.
Next Steps:
• Find a Life Group to connect with this year.
• Pick a Kingdom Habit to practice this week in a way to be more loving.
• Spend time praying for our church as we seek to use our campus for the community and start new churches.
