Today’s story is often heralded as one of the greatest science fiction stories of all time, and was included in the Science Fiction Hall of Fame, Volume 2.  Versions of this story have often made their way into film, including George Lucas’ THX 1138 and the original Logan’s Run film from 1967 bear similarities to it.
