The light show in the city of Malaga is already one of the most traditional and in my opinion the most wonderful event of the year. Its preparation and results are admired by everyone who walks along Calle Larios.

El espectáculo de luces en esta ciudad de Málaga capital es ya uno de los eventos más tradicionales y en mi opinión el más maravilloso del año. Su preparación y resultado admiran a todo aquel que pase por la calle Larios.

Ya anteriormente he hablado sobre la iluminación de la ciudad en esta época y he nombrado el espectáculo de las luces, que este año se ha renovado plenamente en absolutamente todo. Luego de la pandemia se comenzó con la decoración de los ángeles que se convirtieron en un clásico de las fiestas. Muchas veces me pregunto lo que cuesta renovar todos los decorados de la ciudad y más aún aquel que conforma el espectáculo de la calle más importante de la ciudad, la más emblemática y turística.

La anterior de decoración hasta ha recibido premios como la mejor del mundo. Esta nueva tal vez no llegue a ese punto, pero yo creo que plasma mucho mejor lo que es la Navidad y eso lo he dicho antes.

En esta oportunidad les cuento que en dos días diferentes fui a presenciar el espectáculo de las luces que se da todos los días en horarios de 18:30 hs., 20:30., y 22 hs. Yo asistí a los dos primeros horarios y me di cuenta que había algunas canciones que coincidían y otras no, por lo que les traigo un video con tres partes. Dos de ellas corresponden al espectáculo que vi a las 18:30 hs. y las otras dos en el segundo horario.

Creo que han hecho una selección de cinco canciones que han intercalado, y creo que eso está muy bien para que haya diversidad.

I have already spoken about the lighting of the city at this time and mentioned the light show, which this year has been completely revamped in absolutely everything. After the pandemic, the decoration of the angels began and became a holiday classic. I often wonder what it costs to renovate all the decorations in the city and even more so the one that makes up the spectacle of the most important street of the city, the most emblematic and touristy.

The previous decoration has even received awards as the best in the world. This new one may not quite reach that level, but I think it captures Christmas much better, as I have said before.

On this occasion I will tell you that on two different days I went to see the light show that takes place every day at 18:30, 20:30 and 22 hs. I attended the first two times and I realised that there were some songs that coincided and others that didn't, so I bring you a video with three parts. Two of them correspond to the show I saw at 18:30 hs. and the other two in the second schedule.

I think they've made a selection of five songs that they've interspersed, and I think that's very good for diversity.

Lo que más me gustó, y como mencione hace unos días, es que los motivos de los centros de las estrellas que conforman todo el recorrido de las decoraciones de la calle Larios se centran en la auténtica Navidad, con motivos del nacimiento de Cristo y los reyes magos. Creo que es muy importante volver a lo que es el verdadero significado. Por otra parte, juego de luces y la música coordinan perfectamente, lo que implica un gran trabajo de los sonidistas y aquellas personas que se encargan de las luces. Eso para mí es extraordinario.

Lo segundo que quiero resaltar es que todas las canciones que eligieron son en habla española y cantadas por famosos españoles como La oreja de Van Gogh, David Bisbal, que son los artistas que pude reconocer. También hay una canción de música clásica y una gitana. Me parece genial que sean autóctonas la mayoría de ellas., tanto para los españoles como para los turistas que vienen de fuera, que vean tradiciones.

El espectáculo de luces ha sido espectacular y maravilloso, me ha emocionado al extremo, como el anterior no lo había logrado. Alguien especial para mí leerá este post y verá el video, a esa persona se lo dedico. Pero también a todos los que lleguen a este rincón que es mi blog, espero lo disfruten mucho.

What I liked most, and as I mentioned a few days ago, is that the motifs of the star centres that make up the whole route of the decorations in Calle Larios are centred on the real Christmas, with motifs of the birth of Christ and the Magi. I think it is very important to go back to what the real meaning is. On the other hand, the lighting and the music are perfectly coordinated, which means a lot of work by the sound engineers and those people who are in charge of the lights. That for me is extraordinary.

The second thing I want to highlight is that all the songs they chose are in Spanish and sung by famous Spanish artists such as La oreja de Van Gogh, David Bisbal, who are the artists I could recognise. There is also a classical song and a gypsy song. I think it's great that most of them are indigenous, both for Spaniards and for tourists who come from abroad to see traditions.

The light show was spectacular and marvellous, it moved me to the extreme, as the previous one had never done before.
