Apprentices Pipkin and Sprout, working in the Ornament Density Workshop, discover that the conceptual weight of standard Wish Star molds is being actively drained by a conceptual sink, a new and severe manifestation of the Gray Fade. Pipkin, exhibiting decisive action against protocol, suggests testing the highly volatile Vial 7 of Pure Anticipation against the drain. Using the forbidden Old Tuning Fork artifact to force conceptual resonance, they inject the essence into the failing mold. The experiment succeeds in restoring the mold's density but overloads the concept, resulting in an artifact imbued not just with anticipation, but with immutable expectation, a state achieved by forcing absolute certainty onto the emotion, mirroring the rigidity Elms experienced with the ribbon spool earlier. This new, overly dense artifact raises serious questions about the nature of stabilized joy versus forced belief.
