Grounded in the Middle.

Christmas Tradidions- How they came to be.

Listen Later

Can you believe we are already to the middle of December and only about two weeks out from Christmas day?  I don’t always say it every year, but this month has gone by considerably faster than years past. Maybe it’s because with every year that passes our lives are different than the previous or that our Calendars are a little more or less full. I’m not sure, but I’m to the point where there are a few more special holiday traditions I’d like to squeeze in before Christmas day.

Do you have any traditions for this holiday season that you consider a must or it just doesn’t feel like Christmas to you?  And have you ever thought about where the tradition of filling stockings or where candy canes came from or why we put lights on our trees? Today, I’ll be sharing how some of the early traditions of Christmas came to be.
