In honor of Indigenous People’s day, we decided to bring you stories on the topic. Dana tells us about the tragedy of Residential Schools in Canada. Many Americans don’t even know of their existence and what occurred at those schools. Nydia tells us the real story of Sacagawea. Here’s a hint: she didn’t accompany Lewis and Clark because she was looking for adventure. Cindy gives us some insight into missing and murdered Indigenous women; a tragic situation happening right under people’s noses.
For dinner this week, Cindy made us turkey with a side of baked baby potatoes and corn salad. For dessert, she presented us with cranberry bliss bars. The wine this week was Dos Minas Torrentes, a spicy aromatic wine with a vibrant citrus flavor.
