30 years ago Dr. Mitchell Yass, DPT established the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. He did so after completing physical therapy school and realizing he was completely unprepared to diagnose and treat people. What separated him from everybody else was some instinct that told him to ask people where the pain was; not typically a part of an evaluation. Dr. Yass was amazed to see that where they pointed to was not the place pain should be experienced if the MRI identified structural abnormality like a herniated disc, arthritis or a mensical tear was to cause pain. So by definition they couldn't be the cause of the pain. Dr. Yass began a process of interpreting the symptoms that his patients were experiencing and established in more than 98% of cases that the cause is muscular. This has allowed him to resolve the cause of pain in just weeks using a method of strengthening he has developed. Along the path he has written 3 books and performed a PBS special which aired from 2015-2017.
