Nubia and Frantzces get candid about podcasting. They share 5 specific reasons why Chronicles Abroad hasn’t been as consistent as they used to be. A lot has changed since the inception of Chronicles Abroad and Nubia & Frantzces are juggling quite a few different businesses.Nubia’s Black & Tulum group recently hit 10k, she’s also managing the BlaxIt group, and her travel consulting/coaching business, while Frantzces is finishing her book and re-launching her coaching program on top of working full-time as a therapist.
Not only that, she continues to work with Black Girl Ventures, a non-profit that provides access to financial and social capital to Black and Brown women. So, needless to say, they need HELP! Chronicles Abroad is taking a step back to focus on hiring the right people that will help elevate the podcast to where it needs to be.

Shanette from The She Voyage shared with us that self-care is the best care. She felt like she wasn’t growing in her home environment. She felt stagnant as if she wasn’t growing. Shanette made herself too accessible to the people at home and felt that she continued to put herself last. She was looking for several opportunities outside of her home state and she found one! Shanette spent that time alone discovering herself and being by herself. She most importantly learned to say no. In Asia, she placed herself first and could focus on her mental health. “That’s when I began to love myself because I had that alone time,” said Shanette.Started The She Voyage, as a way to chronicle her voyage of self while also encouraging other women to participate in their own voyages. The voyage of travel, the voyage of relationships, and everything in between. Shanette inspires women to love themselves unapologetically. In this episode you’ll be inspired by the following:1. Self-care is the best care.2. Don’t listen to anybody and make sure you drown out all the noise, follow your intuition, then follow your heart.3. Be more optimistic about your life and less pessimistic.

Liz is a global marathon runner who has run in various marathons in countries such as Afganistan, Beirut, Malaysia, the Ivory Coast, and more. She took to running as a way to grapple with her father’s passing. Soon after, she decided to combine her new love of running with her passion for travel and deep, deliberate exploration of other cultures.
In early 2019, Liz launched Run to Reach, an 18-month marathon fundraising campaign with the goal of running 30 marathons in 30 countries before turning 30 in June of 2020 - aiming to raise $100,000 to support local, women-empowerment organizations in each country visited. Instrumental to Liz’s mission is her desire to leave a positive social impact on the countries she visits, one equal to their impact on her.
With each step, she hopes to engage in the rich and diverse cultures of these extraordinary communities and highlight their natural beauty and inspiring initiatives. Whether it’s transforming education facilities in local towns and villages or providing women with the resources they need to become leaders in their communities, Liz hopes that Run to Reach will enforce change across the world.
Despite COVID-19, Liz shifted to virtual marathon runs to continue her cause. You can donate to Liz’s cause.

Perspectives help us to reframe the challenges in our lives. It's the subtle shift in perspective that allows us to understand what's happening in the world around us. It's a conscious decision that we must decide to make.
It's times like this that urges us to change our perspectives, to reframe how we used to look at things, and to reframe how we currently are looking at things. What other perspectives could we adopt during this critical time in our lives, so that it creates more healing?
It's the old adage that says two people could be standing in the rain and one person could be miserable while the other person is beaming with gratitude. One person is upset that it's raining while the other person, is grateful the Earth is being watered. Everything is a matter of perspective.
In which ways could you alter your perspective in ways that empower you versus it disempowering you? This takes a bit of practice and once you begin it will seep into our subconscious. Once that happens, our worldviews will ultimately change.
