Nancy Finley bats leadoff on today's program regarding her new book Finley Ball: How Two Baseball Outsiders Turned the Oakland A's into a Dynasty and Changed the Game Forever. Nancy's father Carl was the right-hand man of Charles O. Finley, owner of the Oakland A's who presided over the team's three consecutive World Series titles in the 1970s and was known for extreme creativity in all facets of the organization, from orange baseballs and color uniforms to mustache bonuses to mascot Charlie O. Mule.

Chubby Checker--soon-to-be Rock and Roll Hall of Famer--twists his way onto the show in advance of his upcoming appearance at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster on March 28. Checker, still movin' and groovin' at 83 years young, is widely known for popularizing many dance styles with songs like "The Twist," "Limbo Rock" and "Pony Time." He tells a great story on how he got his name and shares what Philadelphia means to him.

Krysten Ritter (Gilmore Girls, Breaking Bad, Jessica Jones) also joins the show regarding her edgy novel Retreat. Ritter adds fun insight into one of her favorite hobbies (knitting) and a neat experience working with Jim Carrey.
