For this episode we have the super talented Paris based artist, Alexis aka Aleqs Notal with his deeper selections.
Since a young age, Aleqs Notal has been a true vinyl enthusiast & coming from the Hip-Hop scene, he would go on to become a prolific mixer; notably becoming the Red Bull 3Style World Turntablist champion as "Dj Karve" back in 2010.
The other side of Alexis career shifts gears into his brand of Deep House & Techno with atmosphere. His style can traverse through the vibes of Disco, Latin Jazz and Space or moods of pure Soul with the excellent use of percussion to control the groove flows.
Since 2014, Alexis has released Gem EPs on C.C.B Recordings, Phonogramme, Visions, Finale Sessions, Sistrum & RDV; In addition to various appearances on the Paris Music Club compilations, he is also the first French DJ to play in Fela Kuti's Shrine.
Alexis's self established Imprint "Industrial Light" features more of his exclusive Deep House delights. Its certainly worthy to explore...
Alexis has shared stage with pioneers like Jazzy Jeff, Larry Heard, Patrice Scott, Mike Huckaby, Moodymann & so on…. He would also go on to command venues as a well known resident DJ at La Machine du Moulin Rouge & the Rex Club; in addition to making crowds dance with frequent shows at famous clubs like Concrete, 6B, Rinse France, Panorama Bar, Tresor, Fabric London and so many more have had the pleasure of Aleqs Notal in control of the floor.
Expect plenty of tasteful selections, deep vibes and classic housey moods on this autumn cruise, all aboard Vol.87 with Aleqs Notals behind the ones and twos.
