The New Testament’s emphasis on the Church caring for each other as a family does is challenging. Think about your biological family. Think about all the stuff your family has been through. The fun, the pain, the fights, the success. Can you imagine having the level of forgiveness or love for other members of the Church that you have to have in a biological family? Read through 1 Corinthians 13 and think about the kind of love God is calling you to have for those who sit around you on Sunday morning. What would it look like if we chose to love each other this way?  What would that say to the outside world?
