As the Church of England's General Synod voted this week to approve blessing same-sex relationships, we are joined by two lay members of Synod who contributed to the debate and tried very hard to persuade the church not to go down this route.

Both our guests, Ben John and Sam Margrave, gave impassioned speeches at Synod, but ultimately the vote, while close, went the wrong way.
