Worship is easy when life is good. But how do we worship when life hurts?

In Job 2, we see a man who experiences unimaginable suffering yet continues to hold on to his integrity and faith in God. Through Job’s story and personal experiences with grief and loss, we’re reminded that we may never understand why certain things happen, but we can still trust in who God is.

God’s promise isn’t a life free from struggle. The ultimate good He offers is found in Jesus Christ and the eternal hope, joy, peace, and love we have through Him. Even when we don’t understand His plan, we can keep our eyes on Jesus and continue to worship through the good and the bad.

Whether you’re walking through a difficult season or supporting someone who is, you don’t have to walk through it alone. We lean on one another, look to the Lord, and hold on to the hope we have in Jesus Christ.

Does being a good person get us into heaven? Many people believe that living a good life is enough, but what does the Bible say?

In this message, we look at Romans 3 and the difference between our righteousness and God's righteousness. No matter how hard we try, our good works cannot meet God's perfect standard. But through faith in Jesus Christ, we can receive the righteousness God freely offers through His grace.

As we prepare our hearts for communion, we are reminded that our salvation isn't something we earn by being good. It's a gift made possible through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Our hope isn't in our own goodness, but in the goodness, grace, and forgiveness of Christ.

Worship is more than a Sunday service or a set of songs. It is a posture of the heart that recognizes Jesus as King and calls us to live our lives in surrender to Him.

In this message, we explore what it means to be a New Testament church; a community of people who love Jesus, love one another, and love those who are far from God. The New Testament repeatedly calls us to “love one another,” but that love is more than a feeling. It is lived out through serving, forgiving, encouraging, welcoming, supporting, and caring for one another.

Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. As we worship together, we are called to live out our faith in community and consider how we are connected to our church family.

As we celebrate communion, we’re reminded that it is the death of Jesus that saves us, unites us as brothers and sisters, and gives us a shared purpose: to live with Jesus as our King and make Him known.

What motivates your worship?

In Matthew 6, Jesus warns us not to practice our faith simply to be seen or approved by others. Our worship is meant for an audience of one: God. In this message, we look at the difference between seeking the reward of human approval and experiencing the blessing that comes from living for God’s approval.

We’re also reminded that our relationship with God isn’t based on a religious scoreboard. We aren’t saved by our good works or accomplishments, but by grace through faith in Jesus and what He accomplished for us on the cross.

Worship is not ultimately about what we do or how we do it. It's about who we're worshiping and why.

In Matthew 6:1–18, Jesus warns His followers to be careful not to practice their righteousness for the purpose of being seen by others. Whether we're giving, serving, praying, singing, or reading Scripture, even good and faithful practices can become something different when our desire shifts toward the approval and applause of others.

In this message, we explore the motives behind our worship and the question Jesus asks each of us: Why am I doing what I'm doing? Our acts of worship are meant for an audience of One: God Himself.

Jesus warns us about the danger of hypocrisy; of becoming more concerned with how others see us than how God sees us. In this message, we look at what it means to stop pretending and come before God with our most honest selves.

God isn't looking for actors or pretenders. He wants us as we are: imperfect and sincerely seeking to follow Him. When we worship, we're invited to drop the mask and give God our undivided attention, our honest hearts, and our whole lives.

The deeper question is: Who are we worshiping, and why are we doing it?

Our acts of worship are meant to be done for an audience of One.

As we begin a new study through Matthew 6, we’ll consider how easily our worship can become about being seen, approved, or applauded by others and how Jesus calls us back to sincere, humble devotion to God.
