Alex Porter returns to her family’s summer home for the first time since her mother’s death 17 years ago because her younger sister is convinced that, like cicadas, their mom is coming back to life.
As Alex assesses her sister’s sanity, she is forced to examine her own thoughts, feelings, and decisions and consider what all she buried when her mother died.
