CINEMA CRAPTACULUS 61 "Freaky"

Listen Later

Join Steph, Dave & John as they get a little FREAKY!

There was Freaky Friday and then Friday the 13th, put them together and lose a bunch of other words and what do you get? A Blumhouse body swap movie that takes place on Friday the 13th called FREAKY!

Meek Millie – played by Kathryn Newton - is not the most popular girl in high school. It’s a year after her father died, and she seems more and more likely not to come out of her shell, preferring to spend Homecoming Night at a stage play with her mom. That is until the Blissfield Butcher — a Jason-like unstoppable psycho killer played by Vince Vaughn – stabs her with an ancient cursed knife – La Dola. However, instead of dying, Millie magically switches bodies with the Butcher. Now young and female, the Blissfield Butcher uses Millie’s body to do the one thing he loves – Killing high school teens! Meanwhile, Millie is stuck in the Butcher’s body and has to stop the real killer before all her friends are butchered!

This month is Women’s History Month and we’re supporting The Black Women’s Agenda whose mission is to empower women to step up and mitigate the gender gaps that affect women in our society. You can find out more information at BWA-INC.ORG.
