Two weeks out from Christmas, it's finally time to post our summer catchup that we recorded at a very inauspicious time some months ago.
Enjoy!
Today Nic and Brendon talk about a delightful road-trip anime directed by Makoto Shinkai (Your Name, Weathering with You) about magical doors, talking cats, and a chair that is alive. It's great.
Enjoy!
Brendon and Nic are here to talk about Alex Garland's new movie Civil War.
Its a breath of fresh air to talk about a chill, turn-off-your-brain-and-enjoy pure entertainment piece. No politics. No partisanship. As far as the movie is concerned, the Anti-Nebraska party may as well not exist. So refreshing!
Well, we've been waiting years for this one and it's finally here. Dune 2. We promised we would talk about it. So we are. So what did we think? INSTANT CLASSIC. Go see it. We start spoiler free and then we get into it. Enjoy!
Guess what? Nic hated the movie Drive.
Guess what now? He watched it again and now he likes the movie Drive.
Discuss!
Its time for the Oscars! Who do we think will win? Who do we think will lose? Who do we think is will be best dressed? We are here to discuss two of those questions! And two outta three that aint bad!
Its 2024. There will be movies! 2024 movies! Here are some of them that fill us with the excitements!
We watched a hard movie this week: Mass written and directed by Fran Kranz.
A simple locked-door style film about the parents of a school shooter meeting with the parents of one of his victims. It's not fun. It's also incredible.
Its worth your time. We hope you enjoy the podcast and appreciate the film. See you next week with something at least nominally lighter!
Its been a while (having a newborn will do that) but we're back! Don't worry, you'll hear more from us soon.
Today we take a retrospective on 2023. It's mostly movie talk but we also go through our favorite books, music, games (both board and video), and more!
Hope you enjoy and we'll see you all real soon!
It's that time, the end of the end of Season 4. Part 5 of our five parter. The big cinco.
Today we discuss some great movies to watch with your dad that came out between 2019 through 2022. Plus we have the list for you to print out. Take em with you during the holidays. Shove it at your Pa and watch some great flicks!
