Circle, the issuer of USDC, has launched Arc, a new blockchain platform specifically designed for stablecoin-focused applications. Arc uses USDC for gas, offers deterministic settlement, and includes opt-in privacy features. The mainnet beta is expected in 2026, with an ARC token announced to coordinate the network's proof-of-stake consensus model.
