No one wants to miss out on a life that counts!
Ignoring our circles to chase impressive is how we miss out on a life that counts.
Circles are where our normal influence can change the world.
A flawed view of others and ourselves blocks the influence we wish for in our circles.
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Then Jesus gave the following illustration: “Can one blind person lead another? Won’t they both fall into a ditch?
Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.”
“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a plank in your own?”
Ourselves
Others
Jesus teaches us we have a problem with how we see ourselves and others.
When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zaccheaus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”
ALL the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
…said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
Jesus teaches us to see ourselves and others as God does.
Correct view of ourselves
A necessary step to living a life that counts is to see others and ourselves as God does.
Flawed vision blocks our ability to live the life we’re meant for.
