Sermon Notes

No one wants to miss out on a life that counts!

Our circles are where we live a life that counts!

CIRCLES are where we:

SEE - others as God does
HEAR - listening dignifies others
ACT - kindness is love in action
SHARE - solutions require safe space

People maybe impressed by strength, but they’re influenced by vulnerability.

Very Well Mind (9/21)

No matter what type of relationship we’re talking about—be it friendship, familial, or romantic—vulnerability is key to fostering a closer, deeper, and more authentic bond with another person.

Hey Sigmund

Vulnerability is the driving force of connection. It’s brave. It’s tender. It’s impossible to connect without it. But we’ve turned it into a weakness.

Psych Central (4/22)

How can those relationships get deeper? The short answer: They can’t. Relationships need vulnerability.

Vulnerability is the humble honesty that ALL of us are equally flawed.

If there’s no struggle than there’s no solution.

JESUS

Physically – attacked
Spiritually – tempted
Relationally – mistreated
Emotionally – battered

This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all.

1 Timothy 1:15

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners.

1 Timothy 1:16

For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect.

1 Corinthians 15:9-10

Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.

Ephesians 3:8

Grace in Jesus allows us:

To be honest with ourselves
To be honest with God
To be honest with others

Impressing naturally causes comparison while vulnerability creates common ground.
