CCENT networking for beginners!
The ultimate beginners crash course to learning Cisco & passing your exam
Are you ready to learn how to configure & operate Cisco equipment? If so you've come to the right place - regardless of how little experience you may have!
If you're interested in networking then you're going to want (or need!) to know and understand Cisco switches, routers & more.
This is your ultimate guide to getting the knowledge you need and passing your CCENT exam too!
There's a ton of other technical guides out there that aren't clear and concise, and in my opinion use far too much jargon. My job is to teach you in simple, easy to follow terms how to get started and excel at Cisco networking!

The narrator's silibant 's' sound is horrific!!!!
Who would approve this narrator's voice with a whistling speech impediment??? I could not focus past it... just waiting for each darn hissing 's'
I strongly advise you to not get this audible if you feel it would distract you as it does for me!
Almost unlistenable
Would you try another book from Adam Vardy and/or Jim D. Johnston?
I haven't gotten through this audio book yet, Jim Johnsons voice is very tinny and the incredibly piercing S sound is enough to force me to stop the book.
What was most disappointing about Adam Vardys story?
The references that are obviously visual in nature that are not included, there really should be a bundle for this work so that when Jim references the 4 charts in the first couple of chapters that you have a bloody clue what he's talking about.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jim D. Johnston?
Anyone who doesn't exaggerate the S sound
Hurts my ears
The narrator whistles while he speaks and his microphone amplifies the letter "s". It is ear piercing and loud compared to the rest of the content. I'm shocked that they are charging money for this. It's not even worthy of being free content, because no one can listen to it. Also the author references visual material that is not present in the audio book, which makes no sense.
Summarizes half the CCENT
I'm studying for CCENT certification and having a bit of trouble. I'll admit that I didn't really expect such a short book to help me much when a class that lasted at entire semester, went over two entire textbooks in detail, and included eight hours of lab work per week hasn't fully prepared me, but I figured I might as well try it.
While it does summarize the material included in the textbook titled "Introduction to Networks," it does not cover anything from the book titled "Routing and Switching Essentials," which is where I am having the most trouble.
Confusing. Could not visualize material.
Some previous reviews had a problem with the speakers voice and whistling. I did not hear that. Speech was clear to me. But I have a hard time visualizing the material. Admittely I am new to Audible and making a reference to a figure and not being able to see it is not condusive to learning. I have been in IT for more than 20 years and I found presentation of material confusing and that is taking into account I downloaded this book as a refresher.
