Dave Cieslewicz was the mayor of Madison, Wisconsin from 2003 to 2011. He keeps a blog called Yellow Stripes & Dead Armadillos and writes the “Citizen Dave” column for Isthmus. He is the author of Light Blue: How Center-Left Moderates Can Build an Enduring Democratic Majority (Maple House Publishing, 2022).
