2. 1. No great proof for this. Ethnic nationalism is a way to avoid conflict
   2. WWI and WWII very well could have been avoided if we respected the rights of ethnic groups to rule themselves

   1. In an attempt to justify why ethnic nationalism is prefferred, many point to the shortcomings of other racial groups

      3. Lets not drag other racial groups into the debate, "not my people, Not my problem"
      4. The focus needs to stay firmly on the grounds of doing what is best for european decended peoples

  Civic NAtionalism

1. Many point to the impossibility of ethnic nationalism but civic nationalism is just as unbelievable
2. 1. How can a country consistantly enforce political hegemony
   2. Race changes less than political ideas
   1. Every group of people needs a home. IF europe had maintained a european majority and perhaps right of return, I would probably care less about the issue
   2. Racial difference causes strife
3. This is about White people
   1. If I were of mixed race or a minority, I would support Civic nationalism
   2. these people are arguing for what is in their best interest and so are we. It is not campatible and we may as well agree to disagree.
4. It makes sense that some people prefer this 

  I'm not completely saying there is nothing to talk about. These discussions can help others pick a side but ultimately it acheives little more than that and many have already made up their minds. If you are on the fence, tune in, otherwise get to work on something more productive.     MASS SHOOTINGS      once again we have another mass shooting in the news, The typical refrains follow. GUN control or no gun control, this is more of a rant     key points are mental health parenting divorce SSRI religion vs nihilism   There have been too many mass shootings for it just to be a coincidence.  Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed twelve students and a teacher at Columbine High School.   Eric was on Luvox, an antidepressant.  The Virginia Tech shooter killed thirty-two people and he was on an antidepressant.  While withdrawing from Prozac, Kip Kinkel murdered his mother and stepmother.  He then shot twenty-two classmates and killed two.  Jason Hoffman wounded five at his high school while he was on Effexor, also an antidepressant.  James Holmes opened fire in a Colorado movie theater this past summer and killed twelve people and wounded fifty-eight.  He was under the care of a psychiatrist but no information has been released as to what drug he must have been on.    Havamal 122       We don't owe explanations to people we don't care about. Debate at some level is about convincing people you care for, if you don't have any intention of helping that person out of respect, you are likely wasting your breath
