  • IDENTITY CRISIS: Lies We Believe About Our Identity

Who has the authority to tell you who you are? Our culture offers countless answers. Your feelings. Your sexuality. Your race. Your politics. Your career. Your diagnosis. Your success. Your failures. But Scripture begins somewhere completely different: God defines His creatures.

In Week 5 of the King Truth Teller Society Field Manual, Jeremy and Greg examine the biblical doctrine of identity from creation to redemption. Every human being is created in the image of God, but spiritually Scripture places mankind into two fundamental categories: in Adam or in Christ. We’ll look at what it means to be an image-bearer, why fallen man seeks to define himself autonomously, and how the Gospel radically changes our identity by transferring sinners from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God’s beloved Son.

In Christ, we are not merely given a better label. We are made new—freed from sin’s dominion, indwelt by the Spirit, adopted into God’s family, made heirs with Christ, brought into His Kingdom, and called His people. You don’t define you. God does.

    Key Scriptures: Genesis 1:26–27 • Romans 5:12–21 • Romans 6 • Colossians 1:13–14 • 2 Corinthians 5:17 • Ephesians 1–2 • 1 Peter 2:9–10

Civil Circus exists to equip ordinary Christians to move from passivity to high-agency men who stand firmly on biblical truth, think biblically about the culture around them, and faithfully proclaim the Gospel in everyday life.

  • What Is the Gospel? We May Have Gotten It Wrong

What exactly is the Gospel? Why do most Christians get it wrong? We need Gospel Clarity.

In Week 4 of the King’s Truth Teller Society Field Manual, Jeremy and Greg focus on biblical evangelism, stepping back and tracing the Gospel through the whole biblical story: creation, the image of God, the Fall, sin and God’s Law, Christ’s incarnation, death, resurrection, ascension and reign, and God’s command that all people repent and believe.

We’ll also address common misconceptions such as “ask Jesus into your heart,” reducing Christianity to self-improvement, separating the Gospel from the Old Testament, and confusing an evangelism method with the Gospel itself.

You’ll also hear the remarkable story of 15-year-old Charles Spurgeon and the ordinary lay preacher whose simple proclamation of Scripture changed his life.

FIELD ORDERS: Build confidence in sharing the Faith. Stay through the end and practice explaining the Gospel clearly in your own words—then take that message to someone else.

If you’re just joining us, these episodes are designed to stand alone while also building upon one another. Start with Week 1 in the King’s Truth Teller Society Field Manual playlist and work through the series at your own pace.

  • Why Christians Keep Surrendering to a Godless Culture

What happens when Christians stop treating God’s Word as the final authority? They surrender to a Godless Culture.

In Week 3 of the King’s Truth Teller Society Field Manual, Jeremy and Greg examine the battle over authority from Genesis 3 to the modern world. From Satan’s question, “Did God really say?”, to Martin Luther’s stand on Sola Scriptura, to the pressures of worldly culture, politics, science, identity, and personal autonomy, the same question remains:

    Who gets the final word?

When Christians begin sidelining Scripture, other authorities quickly take its place. Culture begins shaping our morality, convictions weaken, fear of man increases, and eventually Christians can become reluctant to stand for biblical truth or faithfully proclaim the Gospel.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    - The authority of Scripture

    - Genesis 3 and “Did God really say?”

    - Martin Luther and the Diet of Worms

    - Sola Scriptura

    - The Enlightenment and human autonomy

    - Worldly culture versus biblical truth

    - Christian polling on biblical authority

    - Creation, evolution, and the authority question

    - Why biblical authority matters for evangelism

The challenge for this week is simple:

If Scripture disagrees with you, which one changes?

Stand firm. Think biblically. Speak truth. Proclaim the Gospel.

  • Why Christians Stay Silent When It Matters Most

Fear of man can silence even the boldest Christian.

Peter denied Jesus three times—but after Christ restored him, we see a radically different Peter standing before rulers and declaring, “We must obey God rather than men.” Yet Galatians 2 shows us something important: Peter’s battle with the fear of man wasn’t simply gone forever.

In Week 2 of the King’s Truth Teller Society Field Manual, Jeremy and Greg examine Peter’s denial, restoration, courage in Acts, and later confrontation with Paul to answer a question every Christian needs to face:

**What does it actually take to become courageous in a culture that pressures us to remain silent?**

    We discuss:

    * Peter’s denial of Christ

    * Jesus restoring Peter

    * Peter’s boldness in Acts 4–5

    * “We must obey God rather than men”

    * Peter’s failure in Galatians 2

    * Why fear of man can return

    * How Christians develop biblical courage

    * Why faithful gospel proclamation requires practice, not merely information

The goal isn’t pretending you’ll never be afraid.

The goal is learning to obey Christ when you are.

This is Week 2 of the **King’s Truth Teller Society Field Manual**, a 52-week journey designed to move Christians from spectatorship, fear, compromise, and complacency toward biblical confidence, courage, faithful evangelism, and multiplication.

Subscribe and follow the series as we learn to **stand boldly in biblical truth and faithfully proclaim the Gospel.**

  • Christians, What If the Government Says, "We're Not Alone?"

What if tomorrow the government officially announced, "We're not alone"?

    Would that change your faith?

    Would it challenge Christianity?

Or has the Bible already prepared believers for conversations like this?

In this episode of Civil Circus, we explore one of the biggest cultural questions of our generation through the lens of Scripture.

Rather than chasing conspiracy theories or endless speculation, we ask a better question:

    What has God already revealed?

    In this conversation, we discuss:

✔ What Christians should think about UFO disclosure

✔ Whether "non-human intelligence" fits within a biblical worldview

✔ Angels, demons, deception, and spiritual discernment

✔ Why Christians shouldn't panic over sensational headlines

✔ How these conversations can become opportunities to share the Gospel

The world is searching for disclosure.

God has disclosed Himself in Christ.

If this conversation encouraged you, subscribe to Civil Circus for practical, biblical conversations that equip everyday Christians to stand boldly in truth, think Christianly about culture, and confidently share the Gospel.

What if the government announced non-human intelligence is real? Explore how Christians can think biblically about UFO disclosure.

Many people are asking what happens if we receive official confirmation that we are not alone in the universe. This conversation moves past fear and conspiracy theories to examine the topic through the lens of Scripture. We discuss whether non-human intelligence fits within a biblical worldview and how believers can maintain their footing when facing sensational headlines.

Rather than panicking over the unknown, we look at how to apply spiritual discernment to these cultural moments. This episode focuses on the reality of angels, demons, and the truth of the Gospel, helping you find confidence in God's revelation rather than the latest government announcement. We want to equip you to navigate these complex cultural questions with clarity.

  • Christians: It’s Time to Get Off the Sidelines

Are Christians consuming more Christianity than we're actually practicing? It's time to stop spectating and start obeying Christ.

We can listen to sermons, study theology, watch apologetics, consume Christian podcasts, argue about culture, and still avoid what God has already made clear we need to do.

In Episode 1 of our 52-week Civil Circus journey, we're confronting spectator Christianity. We begin with the extraordinary story of missionary John G. Paton, who left Scotland for the New Hebrides in 1858 despite being warned that he could be killed by cannibals. Then we bring the question much closer to home.

James 1:22 tells Christians to be “doers of the word, and not hearers only.” Jesus makes the same distinction in Matthew 7:24–27: both men heard His words—but only one acted on them. So what does that mean for ordinary Christians today?

We talk candidly about our decision to take the Gospel to the Colorado Springs Pride Festival, the fear and uncertainty we experienced, what actually happened when we showed up, what we learned, and why we're not telling every Christian to grab a microphone and become a street preacher.

The real question is much more personal: What has God already made clear that you are still waiting to obey? Maybe it's sharing Christ with your brother. Inviting your neighbor over. Leading your family spiritually. Praying with a coworker. Reconciling with someone. Serving your church. Or finally having the conversation you've repeatedly postponed.

You don't need another year of preparation before taking one faithful step.

    WEEK 1 FIELD ORDERS:

I KNOW: What has Scripture already made clear?

I'VE DELAYED BECAUSE: What's actually stopping me?

THIS WEEK I WILL: Choose one specific act of obedience—and do it. Then tell another Christian man what you're doing and ask him the same question.

Follow, subscribe, and join us for the full 52-week journey as we move from passive Christianity toward biblical action.
