It is the citizens duty to avoid allowing the governments to overrule or atrophy their consciences, such compliance to enable the government to make them the agents of injustice. Civil disobedience is the active, professed refusal of a citizen to obey certain laws, demands, orders or commands of a government or occupying international power.
