CJ Run is a Chicago based spoken word project fronted by Nigerian-English-American poet Chanel-joy Seymour. Seymour's brand of jazzy hip hop features their nonchalant, serene rhymes alongside plucky, clean guitar work and funky grooves. During the discussion portion, Seymour and the band shared their own journeys connecting as a live band, arrangement of hip hop with a live band and producing beats.
