Dr. Friday
One of the things I am surprised about is sometimes when I review people’s taxes, I find things they don’t take… and one of those is claiming your daycare. Many cases people actually have children that are 13 and under 12 and under, and they actually go to camp in the summertime. Day camp, not overnight camp, but day camp. Keep in mind that if your child is that age, and they going to day camp, that is daycare as far as the IRS is concerned. So you can deduct the cost of your YMCA for the day, or if they’re going to computer camp, whatever it might be.
Remember, don’t leave any money on the table. If you’ve got questions, call me (615) 367-0819.
