Well written story with twists. Kudos to the author!
SPOILER ALERT!
This story is well written; not full of the typos so often seen (distracting and irritating) in so many of the stories in this genre. All the characters are fully developed. Claire as the female lead, is sexually confident, strong, but compassionate as is Derrick. Dan is less confident and strong, perhaps more sexually confused (not because of the bisexuality but because he allowed himself to be sexually used and abused). The thing that makes these 3 characters lovable is that they care about each other and treat each other with respect. You care about what happens to them. You see none of the sexual double standards, sl*t shaming, or degrading name calling (i.e., sl*t, b*tch, wh*re) among them that you see so often between partners in erotica. The only derogatory terms are between Dan and Padma who is the villain of the story. Their language, sexist and homophobic, reflects the disease of their relationship.
The story also brought the issue of female-on-male sexual abuse. Although much less common than male-on-female or even male-on-male abuse, it is just as shame provoking and wrong when it happens and it was satisfying to see Padma, the perpetrator, receive her just deserts.
In closing, I enjoyed the story and look forward to others written by the author. Kudos to the author!
This isnt actually a book...
There is no story here, no character development. It's basically written porn...
