From Heartbreak and Tears – to a Stellar Career.

After graduating from Cambridge with distinction, a moment of insight as a junior doctor led to a Harkness Fellowship, a range of qualifications, and a career combining clinical work with senior leadership.

Claire Lemer is a General Paediatrician, with a special interest in organisation and system transformation. She has significant experience in medical leadership, combined with operational management skills and strategic leadership, at an organisational, regional, national and international level.

Claire is currently Chief of Strategy and Innovation at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s. She combines working for the NHS with her love of theater, hiking, travelling baking and supporting her faith community.
