When looking at God's kingdom, it can be confusing to understand when compared the values of our society. In America, we often value success, comfort, money, and security; however, God's kingdom turns this upside down. As we see in Luke 1 and Matthew 5, the kingdom Jesus ushers in is one of humility, servanthood, and surrender to the Lord. God's kingdom is an upside down kingdom, and he asks us to live by those same values. If we desire to follow Jesus, we must value the upside down kingdom and not live the way the world does.
