I learned from an art piece that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I went to an art show that my sister was in and found this “cover” piece of Claude Monet’s Sunday afternoon and each square of the piece was created by a different artist to create a whole piece. My dad was intrigued by it and so was I. The piece went for $4,000. Now you may wonder. Who would pay that much money for a piece like that? but you have to take into account the artistic vision that went behind creating each square and you have to take into account that there were about 30 artists who created the bigger piece that was “quilted” together.A piece that was once an ode to the impressionist era of art was turned into a fresh take of art deco , cubism and illustration.
