Episode 14 and the second off site episode is now available to stream! In this episode Chris and Rene sit down with the Owner and Executive Chef/Co Owner of Canon and Franquette, Clay Nutting and Brad Cecchi. 

In addition to co-owning Canon and Franquette, Clay was previously the co-owner of LowBrau in midtown. He also co-founded two multi-day music festivals, SEMF and TBD Fest, and was on the team that produced ArtHotel and ArtStreet. Currently, Clay serves in a leadership role on two prominent regional boards, Valley Vision and Metro Chamber.

Brad Cecchi is a graduate from the Culinary Arts program at American River College and Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park. Later he opened Mulvaney’s B&L with Patrick Mulvaney who was an inspiration and a mentor to Brad. Brad later moved on to become the Chef de Cuisine and later Executive Chef of the Solbar in the 88 room, luxury hotel resort, Solage Calistoga, Solbar was able to maintain its Michelin Star not once but twice in 2016 and 2017.

In this episode, Clay and Brad detail their backgrounds, how they got together to create Canon and most recently Franquette, and share what is on the horizon for them as entrepreneurs.
