Clayton Kershaw Retiring! (Plus the Dodgers Beat the Giants)
Clayton Kershaw is ending his long and storied career, all of which was spent with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Next stop: Cooperstown, Hall of Fame, Class of 2031. Jeff Snider, Clint Pasillas, and Kevin Skinner are here to talk about Kershaw's greatness, his legacy, and his unparalleled career.
Oh, and the Dodgers played a baseball game, and they won! Yoshinobu Yamamoto struggled with his command and efficiency, and then Michael Kopech and Blake Treinen struggled even more. But the rest of the bullpen — specifically Jack Dreyer, Anthony Banda, and Alex Vesia — were dominant and the offense got JUST enough done against a very good Logan Webb to eke out a 2-1 win. Combined with the Padres loss to the Mets, the Dodgers are now up by three games (plus the tiebreaker) in the NL West with nine to play, and the division is all but locked up.
