Val Geisler, email guru and founder of “Fix My Churn,” shares why cleaning your email list should be a priority.
She recommends cleaning your email list regularly. Inactive subscribers = poor deliverability and email rates because your email starts to think your emails are spam.
Her actionable advice? Send a re-engagement campaign to your inactive subscribers that:
Happens over the course of 2-3 weeks.
Is caring and empathetic.
Reminds them why they signed up in the first place.
Encourages them to take action.
From there, you can create a sequence to follow up with those who don’t respond initially and then set a deadline to delete anyone who doesn’t respond.
It’s scary to delete hundreds of subscribers at a time but Val says it’s worth it in the long run. Find out more at Fix My Churn.
