Leviticus 12-15.

With these chapters we wade into some very interesting waters. But while these may be some of the more gross parts of the Bible, there is actually something quite beautiful going on in Leviticus 12-15. God promised to be with Israel, to live with them and walk among them. He promised that He would be their God and they would be His people. Therefore, God’s people had the responsibility to purify themselves from everything that might contaminate them—not only physically, but also spiritually. Thus, Israel needed to learn how to distinguish between the clean and unclean, thus, these laws were given. While gross to us, these chapters are nothing but grace upon grace as Yahweh makes very clear that while our uncleanness separates us from Him, it is possible to find the cleansing we need.
