I faced an intense battle at Shiroyama Shrine, where multiple guarded Torii gates and waves of "horrible" demons nearly overwhelmed me. After adopting a more strategic approach, I defeated a group of headless demons and completed the purification.

Cleansing the Shiroyama Shrine proved to be much more difficult than the previous ones. The shrine featured multiple Torii gates, and every single one was heavily guarded by demons. I spent a long time engaged in constant combat, trying to push through their lines to reach the gates.

At one point, the demons actually managed to take me down. They outran me and overwhelmed my defenses, which served as a wake-up call. I realized I had to be much more careful with my positioning, so I started playing more strategically to avoid being surrounded again.

Once I had finally cleared out the most "horrible" demons, I began the cleansing process. However, the job wasn't over yet; more demons appeared to defend the shrine, and I had to fight through several more waves of enemies just to keep my progress.

I eventually reached a specific Torii gate that was surrounded entirely by headless demons, specifically, the ones that looked like schoolgirls. I had to take them all down before the area was safe enough for me to finally cleanse that particular gate.

After the final gate was purified, I was shown a cinematic bird's-eye view of the shrine being restored. I watched as a massive flock of crows fled the area and a thick, strange fog began to disappear, revealing the true beauty of the temple grounds once more.

When the cleansing was complete, KK mentioned that he was sensing a strong power nearby. I searched the interior of the shrine and discovered a magical object that granted me a new special power to use against the demons. It felt like a significant upgrade for the battles ahead.

Before I left for the Kagerie Observation Deck to gather intel on Shibuya, I explored the perimeter and met a spirit. He told me a tragic story about how he had died in an accident and begged for my help. He mentioned a cursed doll that he needed to be rid of, which added a haunting new side quest to my list.
