Clear Objectives Are Vital for Effective Male Ally Programs

Listen Later

This is the second installment of our five-part series recognizing the growing trend of men getting involved in issues of gender equality, particularly on MBA campuses. As the movement grows, we wanted to gather thoughts and ideas of male allies and share them with you so you can hear some of these inspiring men creating innovative and meaningful dialogue in this space.

In this episode we talk with Daniel Ingram, graduate of the Wharton School of Business. Ingram discusses the topic of men—and specifically male ally groups—being perceived as trying to be the “knights in shining armor” in the gender equity conversation. He details how the Wharton group—The Wharton 22s—emphasizes they aren’t trying to be the saviors, but instead joining women in solving the gender equity problem.
