For the first time, inbound and outbound flights to and out of NAIA have been cancelled, diverted, or rescheduled. This is due to the power outage happened in the said airport that affected the radar communication needed by the airport to communicate with the flights. Apparently, even the second (backup) plan did not work. A total of 56,000 passengers have been affected. And it happened on the first day of January 2023 where people are rushing to travel.
