The official account of the Chris Benoit tragedy is a murder-suicide. Over June 22–24, 2007, in their Fayetteville, Georgia home, the WWE wrestler (age 40) killed his wife Nancy (43) by strangulation on the 22nd, suffocated their 7-year-old son Daniel on the 23rd, placed Bibles next to their bodies, and hanged himself with a weight machine cable on the 24th. Police discovered the bodies on June 25 after WWE requested a welfare check due to Benoit missing events.
