  • Security Awareness: What Needs to Change with Ian Glover

    We're pleased to share our interview with Ian Glover.

    Ian has been involved in the industry for over 40 years and co-founded Insight Consulting, which was later purchased by Siemens. Prior to this, Ian worked at the Ministry of Defence, Treasury (CCTA) and Ernst & Young. Ian was also the president of CREST, an international not-for-profit accreditation and certification body, for 13 years.

    In this episode, Ian talks about the difference between security awareness and security training, the security awareness activities he has been involved in throughout his career, and what he thinks we can do better.

  • Leading Technical Teams Effectively with Luiz Simpson

    We're excited to share our interview with Luiz Simpson, Head of Offensive Security at Bridewell.
     

    As Rachel explains in the intro, Luiz was one of the first people that she interviewed in the industry, so it was wonderful to have the opportunity to speak to him again seven years later.

    Luiz shares what drew him to offensive security, how he approaches red teaming engagements, and his advice for managing a team effectively.  

    In addition to his work as Head of Offensive Security, Luiz is a STEM Ambassador. Luiz explains what it involves, the benefits of volunteering, and how he drew inspiration from escape rooms to create an activity for students.
